You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise plant availability and operational efficiency.\nThis position operates on a rotating 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering 12-hour day and night shifts.\n Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities across the manufacturing plant.\nDiagnose and repair electrical faults on a wide range of production equipment and machinery.\nRespond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.\nConduct fault finding on electrical control systems, motors, drives, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.\nSupport continuous improvement projects aimed at improving plant reliability and performance.\nComplete maintenance records and documentation accurately using maintenance management systems.\nEnsure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.\nWork closely with production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.\nParticipate in equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.\nAssist in identifying root causes of recurring faults and implement corrective actions.\n We are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively in a demanding manufacturing environment.\nYou will ideally have:\nExperience working in an electrical maintenance role within manufacturing, industrial, or process environments.\nStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.\nExperience with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.\nKnowledge of electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, inverters, and control circuits.\nThe ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.\nQualifications & Experience\nRecognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, BTEC, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent).\nTime-served Electrical Apprenticeship preferred.\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable, not essential.\nExperience within a heavy manufacturing, wood products, process, FMCG, or industrial environment would be advantageous.\nKnowledge of PLC fault-finding and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.\n Just some of what we are able to offer includes
