We are Kronospan.\n The primary purpose of the Laboratory Technician’s position is to perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the various test methods and analysis of data to determine compliance to specified standards. These test methods will be physical, chemical, and statistical in nature. The technician will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment in the lab and the tracking and maintenance of various data collections. In addition, the Lab Technician may be called upon to determine trends and present data to facility leadership team members in order to initiate appropriate actions.\nRead, comprehend, and follow all JHSAs, technical specifications, and work instructions for the assigned process task.\nStart up, operate, and shut down all equipment related to the laboratory\nConduct quality inspections of raw and in-process materials and communicate results.\nPrepare panel samples in accordance with standardized requirements.\nConduct basic chemistry tasks related to raw materials, finished product, and other assigned areas.\nUnderstand customer-specific board applications and ensure timely product releases based on customer needs.\nAssist in the installation of all new equipment, components, and systems, or the improvement of existing equipment, components, and systems as required.\nDispose of hazardous materials in accordance with corporate policy and state and federal regulations.\nCommunicate with external organizations as required regarding Laboratory processes and results.\nPresent quality trends to plant leadership to facilitate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.\nWork closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential safety hazards, quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.\nPerform preventive maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment as scheduled or directed.\nComplete all required safety, quality, and production documentation.\nCommunicate with the production team on any quality issues observed in the plant.\nAll other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of leadership\n High School Degree or equivalent \nStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.\nExcellent attendance record.\nDemonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.\nAdvanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft office products including Word and Excel.\nBasic mechanical aptitude\nThe ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.\nThe ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex problems.\nThe ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.\nAbility to work in conditions of extreme heat and cold\nAbility to work at high levels from a personnel lift\nAbility to drive a lift truck\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance\nMust meet eligibility requirements for
