The focus of this role is to ensure the quality and reliability of embedded software running on microcontroller-based systems and single-board computers.\nAs a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will analyze project requirements, design and maintain test plans, execute functional and integration tests, and document results. You will work closely with software and hardware teams to reproduce and investigate issues, supporting the delivery of high-quality embedded products.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and maintain the test methodology and infrastructure for embedded products across FPGA code, embedded software, and hardware. \nSelect and maintain suitable test frameworks and tools. Build and maintain test benches, fixtures, and hardware setups. \nExecute test scenarios based on test plans and provide test reports to support internal quality reviews and customer confidence. \nIdentify, investigate, and document defects, including reproduction steps and detailed issue reports. \nEstablish traceability between requirements, tests, defects, and release criteria. \nDefine and execute release validation tests and CI/CD regression tests. \nImprove product testability through better logging, diagnostics, and instrumentation. \nRequirements\nTechnical education in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field. \n10+ years of experience in embedded software testing, including at least 5 years of experience with embedded systems. \nExperience testing microcontroller-based systems (e.g., STM32), single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi), and Linux-based systems. \nFamiliarity with CI/CD and automated regression testing, including the ability to build and maintain automated regression environments. \nSolid understanding of test design techniques, test levels, and test types. \nFamiliarity with embedded communication protocols such as USB, UART, SPI, and I2C. \nWorking knowledge of digital radio communication, Wi-Fi and ODFM-based systems. \nGood understanding of Ethernet and networking. \nExperience with test automation and frameworks such as pytest, Robot Framework, or similar. \nExperience debugging firmware flashing processes and hardware interfaces. \nAbility to reproduce system issues by replicating hardware and software interactions. \nStrong knowledge of test methodology, requirements analysis, and traceability. \nUnderstanding of verification levels, including unit, integration, system, and hardware-software integration testing. \nWould Be a Plus\n1 or 2 years of experience with FPGA and board testing. \nExperience testing proprietary communication protocols. \nFamiliarity with JTAG, SWD, Wireshark, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, antenna analyzers, or spectrum analyzers. \nSkills & Abilities Required\nStrong analytical, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team, creating structure where testing processes are still evolving. \nExperience with test automation using Python, basic shell scripting, or C++. \nCompetence in using measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, antenna analyzers, or spectrum analyzers is a plus. \nStrong hands-on approach and comfort working with hardware, cables, boards, fixtures, laboratory equipment, and custom test setups, including scripts. \nWhy Join Us?\nThis is an exceptional opportunity to bring your own daring concepts to life.
