You will uphold high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship while performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Your duties will include diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions, as well as performing preventive maintenance and equipment installations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafety and Quality Compliance:\nMaintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with these standards.\nAdhere to plant environmental policies and procedures, understanding their impact on daily duties.\nUphold high standards of quality and workmanship in all maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and product integrity.\nRoot Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting:\nDrive every issue to its root cause failure or malfunction, utilizing a combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge.\nUtilize electrical multimeters, meggers, amprobes, and similar instruments proficiently to diagnose and address equipment issues effectively.\nInstallation and Maintenance:\nInstall and startup new manufacturing or support equipment, including foundation preparation, assembly, leveling, and alignment according to manufacturer's specifications.\nPerform preventive maintenance and inspections on plant and manufacturing equipment per documented procedures, assisting in developing maintenance schedules and procedures.\nRepair and Fabrication:\nDiagnose and repair electrical malfunctions on plant and manufacturing equipment, including finding and replacing blown fuses, repairing damaged wiring, and replacing defective components.\nDesign, layout, fit, and install conduit, cable trays, and other industrial wiring systems.\nPlan material requirements and fabricate tools, components, or assemblies using common materials and methods such as welding and bolting.\nTechnical Expertise:\nConduct bench repair and rebuild of electrical and mechanical equipment components.\nPerform layout, fitting, and installation of screwed or welded piping components and systems.\nDemonstrate entry-level operation of machine tool job shop equipment, including mills, lathes, and surface grinders.\nContinuous Improvement:\nIdentify and implement improvements in materials, methods, and processes to enhance profitability and efficiency.\nProactively contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to prevent recurring issues.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.\nStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.\nProficiency in using electrical and mechanical tools and instruments.\nBasic understanding of CNC machine controls and machine shop equipment operation.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.\nDemonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).\nComfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.\nCapable of standing, bending, and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.\nKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
