This is why we are committed to equal rights and treatment worldwide and never lose sight of the aspects ecology and sustainability when manufacturing our products.\nFacilities Technician I\nKSB GIW, Inc.\nDepartment: Maintenance\nReports to: Maintenance supervisor\nLocation: Grovetown, Georgia\nShift: 1st\nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)\nOVERVIEW:\nThe Maintenance Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment and all plant electrical control systems. This position provides technical support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and processes. The role requires strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation, as well as a commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures; perform all work in accordance with safety standards and assist others in understanding electrical safety requirements.\nUnderstand and follow environmental policies and procedures as they relate to daily work.\nMaintain high standards of quality and workmanshipin all job duties.\nSupport the installation and startup of new manufacturing or support equipment, including specification and installation of electrical services, startup and adjustment, documentation compilation, and training of maintenance personnel.\nDiagnoseand repair electrical, control, and instrumentation-related malfunctions in plant and production equipment.\nCompileand maintain documentation for all electrical and controls systems, both new and existing.\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC and manual machine shop equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.\nProgram, troubleshoot, and correct malfunctions in PLC, CNC, HMI, and VFD systems.\nMaintain backups of control software and parameter data in both electronic and paper form.\nDevelopand implement software changes to improve processes or equipment performance.\nSpecifyhardware and/or develop software for new equipment applications.\nIdentify and assist in the implementation of improvement projects that enhance reliability, increase productivity, or reduce costs.\nEvaluate and resolvereliability issues across plant systems and equipment.\nAssist in developing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures using OEM and component documentation.\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Machine Shop.\nEducation:\nAssociate degree in Electrical/Electronic-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.\nExperience:\nMinimum five (5) years of related experience in an industrial maintenance environment, or a combination of education and experience.\nProficiency in programmable logic controller (PLC) diagnostics and programming.\nExperience in CNC machine control diagnostics; programming knowledge preferred.\nKnowledge of AC/DC motors, drives, and conventional controls.\nFamiliarity with servo and spindle motors and drives, induction furnace controls, oven and burner controls, and industrial instrumentation systems.\nWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).\nStrong computer and software application skills.\nProven problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.\nCAD experience is a plus.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nFrequently:\nStanding, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping\nLifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 lbs.\nOccasionally:\nOverhead work\nClimbing ladders or stairs\nOperating forklifts and cranes\nKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
