This is why we are committed to equal rights and treatment worldwide and never lose sight of the aspects ecology and sustainability when manufacturing our products.\nInventory Control Technician\nKSB GIW, Inc.\nDepartmen t: SupremeServ\nReports to: Service Center Operations Manager\nLocation: Thomson, GA, USA\nShift: First\nFLSA status: non-exempt\nPURPOSE OF POSITION:\nMaintaining records of material in inventory and on order, monitoring re-order points, and initiating action to replenish inventory while reconciling any and all discrepancies that may occur. Organize and coordinate all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and pulling of service jobs within the Service Center facility. Ensuring that the day to day duties are carried out efficiently to achieve on time delivery and meet the demands of the Service Center. Conduct work activities in a professional manner that reflects positively on the image of the company and conforms to KSB GIW, Inc. Health and Safety Policy.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n1. Ensures all work is carried out in a clean and safe environment as per the current Health and\nSafety legislation.\n2. Performs at a high standard in each area of responsibility with a tenacious and determined\napproach.\n3. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient and safe material storage and\nhandling.\n4. Adheres to productivity metrics regarding efficiency.\n5. Safely and efficiently operates mechanical lifting devices such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks\nand forklifts.\n6. Maintain and manage inventory of materials and stocked products, including stock locations\nand profiles.\n7. Monitors stock levels and makes recommendations to manager for level changes.\n8. Ensures safe/correct lifting of parts in warehouse.\n9. Retrieve materials for service orders comparing against information on picking slips, bill of\nmaterials, etc. insuring quantities and materials are accurate prior to issuing to production.\n10. Process incoming shipments to verify accuracy of goods received in accordance with KSB GIW,\nInc procedures.\n11. Organizes warehouse racking and parts storage for easy identification and tracking.\n12. Moves materials and castings throughout the plant as directed.\n13. Keeps organized records as instructed.\n14. Ability to work independently and as a team member.\n15. Makes recommendation to supervisors and manager for improvements.\n16. Notifies QC and appropriate persons on non-conforming products.\n17. Keeps stock levels and inventory accurate with weekly cycle counts.\n18. Collaborates with inventory management to ensure service warehouse activities are in\ncompliance with company guidelines.\n19. Ability to work independently, prioritizing per customer demands.\n20. Able to make good, sound decisions - logical and analytical abilities essential.\n21. Prepares all outbound assemblies for safe shipment and handling per procedure.\n22. Unloads all incoming shipments as needed.\n23. Ensures proper labeling and sorting of spares within warehouse.\n24. Inspects, logs, photos and fills out proper documentation on all incoming & outgoing shipments.\nEDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years related experience required.\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:\nProficient in the use of inventory control software.\n2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping and receiving\nPromote safety and housekeeping at all times.\nMust be able to work overtime on short notice as and when required.\nMust be able to wear appropriate personnel protective equipment.\nWilling to pursue further education and training.\nAdhere to company policies regarding attendance and safety.\nOperates forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks as and when needed.\nAbility to use inventory label equipment such as label printers, ID tags, barcodes, etc.\nAbility to interpret OEM bill of materials.\nAbility to accurately track inventory and reconcile stock counts.\nComputer literate in Microsoft office applications as well as a working knowledge in SAP systems/CRM Systems.\nPerforms at a high standard in each area of responsibility.\nKnowledge of raw material and components related to pumps and other rotating equipment.\nAttention to detail and strong math skills.\nAbility to work independently and as a team member.\nAbility to work under pressure.\nPerforms tactical and strategic problem solving and ability to make good, sound decisions.\nAssists in implementation of department goals.\nMakes recommendation to supervisors and manager for improvements.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nDepending upon the particular needs of the area/department, physical requirements may include but are not limited to lifting up to 70 lbs. squatting, pulling, kneeling, pushing, and bending.\nKSB Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
