You'll work with employees, managers, candidates, recruitment agencies and external providers, so you'll need to be comfortable dealing with people and managing a range of priorities.\nWe're also looking for someone with ambition and potential. You don't need to know everything from day one, but we want someone who is keen to learn, takes ownership and wants to build their HR career. As your knowledge and confidence grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility.\nKey responsibilities\nRecruitment & onboarding\nCoordinate recruitment from vacancy through to offer and pre-employment checks.\nAdvertise vacancies, manage candidate communication and arrange interviews.\nWork closely with hiring managers and preferred recruitment agencies.\nTake ownership of straightforward recruitment and support more specialist vacancies through agencies.\nCoordinate onboarding and deliver the HR element of new starter induction.\nHR operations & employee support\nProvide first-line HR support to employees and managers.\nCoordinate key employee lifecycle processes, including probation and leavers.\nTrack and manage the BPSS process\nPrepare routine HR documentation and correspondence.\nHR systems & reporting\nAct as a HiBob system superuser, supporting the day-to-day administration.\nKeep employee data and HR records accurate and up to date.\nMaintain key people trackers and support the monthly people reporting process.\nIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.\n Learning, development & early careers\nCoordinate employee training and development requests.\nMaintain training records and liaise with external providers.\nSupport early careers framework including apprenticeships, graduates, placements and relationships with schools and colleges.\nBenefits & engagement\nManage the day-to-day administration of the KSG benefits platform.\nLiaise with our benefits broker and providers to ensure information is accurate and benefits are working effectively.\nSupport company-wide engagement activities and events.\nHelp deliver people-related communications and initiatives.\nWhat we’re looking for\nWe’re looking for someone with HR experience, a willingness to learn and the ambition to develop their career.\nEssential\nPrevious experience in an HR administration, HR coordination, HR officer or similar HR role.\nGood understanding of core HR processes.\nStrong organisation and attention to detail.\nConfident communicating with employees, managers and external stakeholders.\nComfortable using HR systems and handling people data.\nAble to manage competing priorities and take ownership of tasks.\nDesirable\nCIPD qualification or working towards one.\nExperience using an HRIS such as HiBob.\nRecruitment and/or recruitment agency experience.\nExperience with BPSS or other pre-employment screening.\nExperience in engineering, manufacturing, defence, nuclear, aerospace or another regulated environment.\nPersonal qualities\nCurious - keen to learn and understand the reasons behind processes, not just follow them.\nProactive - sees what needs doing, takes ownership and follows things through.\nConfident - comfortable asking questions, chasing information and challenging when appropriate.\nAmbitious - wants to broaden their HR knowledge and take on greater responsibility over time.\nYour development\nThis role offers the opportunity to develop well beyond traditional HR administration.\nYou'll initially focus on building a strong understanding of KSG, our people, systems and processes.
