Experience in modernizing legacy applications and following secure coding best practices is highly preferred. \n\nTiming: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST\nWork Mode: Remote\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and enhance backend services using Node.js, JavaScript, and Express.js.\nOwn the design and maintenance of secure, scalable REST APIs and middleware.\nModel and manage data using MongoDB and Mongoose (schemas, indexes, queries, transactions).\nImplement and maintain authentication/authorization with JWT, secure cookies, sessions, roles, and permissions.\nEnforce secure coding practices: validation, error handling, logging, audit trails, and consistent API responses.\nIntegrate with internal/external systems using Axios/HTTP clients, TLS/SSL, and API gateways (e.g., Azure API Management).\nHandle secure file upload/download flows (Busboy, MongoDB GridFS) with proper validation and sanitization.\nWrite and maintain unit and integration tests using Jest;
