Able to manage and ensure the safety of construction activities for water treatment facilities in accordance with standards established by the customer, Kurita, and relevant U.S. regulations. The Senior EHS Specialist also performs safety related duties for the EHS team as assigned required.\nTitle: Senior EHS Specialist\nLocation: Phoenix Arizona\nTravel: up to 10%\nCompensation $90,000 - $110,000/yr (DOE)\nResponsibilities:\nPlan, arrange, and coordinate site facilities, safety and health equipment, and temporary installations in strict compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local safety regulations, client requirements, and site rules.\nConduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments at the construction site to ensure a safe working environment.\nProvide safety training and guidance to workers and contractors as needed.\nMonitor and document compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the construction process.\nInvestigate and report safety incidents, near-misses, and hazards, and recommend corrective actions.\nParticipate in construction management meetings to address safety-related topics and communicate client safety requirements.\nAssist with reviewing site conditions against the project schedule and coordinating with contractors regarding safety matters.\nSupport the collection and consolidation of construction records from contractors as related to safety.\nWork Location: On-site at the project site, 5 days per week.\nTravel: Some travel may be required to project sites outside Arizona.\nPromptly report to management any related safety and health concerns, including near-misses and incidents, and seek guidance as needed. Ensure all safety incidents are documented and investigated according to company policy and regulatory requirements.\nAdditional EHS support and other duties assigned by Director, EHS & Quality\nQualifications\nEducation:\nPrefer a 4-year degree in safety or a closely related field or a combination of safety certifications and experience\nExperience:\n5 years of relevant safety experience\nEHS certification or BS in science or engineering field of study\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification\nOSHA 510 Certification for Construction\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations\nKnowledge of best safety practices for production environments\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Office\nDemonstrated experience in timely processing of work orders/support requests\nUnderstanding of KAI business processes\nPhysical & Mental Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:\nMust be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, climb or balance, handle, or feel;
