For more information, visit kymetacorp.com.\nWhat We Need\nKymetais seeking aManager,Engineering Project Leaderwho knows how toturnambitioustechnologyintoproducts thatship.This is a player-coach role: you will personally own and drive one or more high-priority development programs end-to-end, while also leading, mentoring, and setting standards for asmallteam of Engineering Project Leaders (EPLs) across the portfolio.You'llpartner closely with all disciplines of Engineering and interface with Supply Chain and suppliers to plan, coordinate, and drive execution - andyou'llbe the person other EPLs look to when a program needs to get unstuck.\nWe’relookingfor someonewho thriveswhere the problemsarecomplex, thepathisn’talways obviousand theoutcomesmatter.Thesuccessful candidate combines the hands-on instincts of someone who has personally run complex hardware/software programs with the judgment and presence to coach, unblock, and elevate a team of project leaders.Youare mostsuccessfulinafast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and bringstrong communication, organization, and follow-through - for your own programs and for the team's.\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOwn project planning, scoping, and execution of one or more cross-functional development programs from concept through qualification and release\n\nAct as a driving force in defining project scope andobjectives, involving all relevantstakeholdersand ensuring technical feasibility\n\nOwn creation and resolution of complex cross-functionaltradeoffdecisions to drive program progress\n\nWork with teams to develop project milestones and estimates\n\nLead risk management processes and mitigations\n\nManage engineering program budget creation, tracking, and budget exceptions\n\nLead and coordinate interdisciplinary brainstorms and root cause analysis efforts\n\nEnsure steady progress of tasks;identifyand remove stalled or blocked items\n\nCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution\n\nEnsure projects are deliveredon-time, within scope, and within budget\n\nManage vendor execution to schedule, budget, and statement of work\n\nManage strategic supplier and development partner relationships\n\nProvide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of Engineering Project Leaders, helping them grow in scope, judgment, and effectiveness\n\nSet and evangelize consistent project management standards, tools, and best practices across all engineering programs\n\nReview and challenge other EPLs' project plans, risk registers, andtradeoffdecisions; step in directly on programs that are off-track\n\nAggregate and report on the health, status, and resourcing of the full program portfolio to leadership - not just your own program(s)\n\nEnsure resource availability and allocation across the team's portfolio, resolving cross-program conflicts and prioritization calls\n\nPartner with functional leaders on hiring, onboarding, and development planning for the EPL team\n\nCreate andmaintaincomprehensive project documentation standards across the team\n\nReport to management with detailed status updates and estimation tracking across the portfolio, escalating proactively as needed\n\nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\n10+ years of Project Management experience developing and launching integrated Hardware and Software technical products, including experience personally running large, complex programs end-to-end\n\n2+ years leading, mentoring, or managing other project managers/leads - comfortable operating as both an individual contributor on your own program and a leader/coach to peers\n\nProven ability to manage large-scale projects and teams that deliver new products to market on schedule and within budget\n\nExperience managing all phases of the product development life cycle\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams within a matrix organization\n\nExperience driving efficiencies and reducing operational or manufacturing costs associated with technical programs\n\nExperience building or scaling project management processes, standards, or tools across a broader engineering organization\n\nThrives in a dynamic, highly ambiguous, entrepreneurial environment\n\nAbility to collaborate across teams and lead technical teams to structure technology development efforts to meet customer requirements\n\nStrong executive presence - able torepresentthe full program portfolio (not just your own project) to senior leadership\n\nSkills to create andmaintainproject schedules in Microsoft Project; monitor team progress and adjust to assess risk and control scope\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired\n\nEDUCATION\nB.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience\n\nCOMPENSATION\nKymeta is committed to fair andequitablecompensation practices. In the spirit of pay transparency, we have determined the salary range for this position to be $160,000 - $205,000. This is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would be atypical,inorder toallow for future and continued salary growth. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limitedto:skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, clearance level, industryexpertise, and geography. The total compensation package for this position includes an annual target bonus of 10%, stock options, and benefits listed below.
