Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.\nThe Role\nThe Indirect Tax role will provide leadership and subject matter expertise for indirect tax activities across India and a potential portfolio of markets within the broader regional organization.\nThe role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution of indirect tax compliance, governance, controls and advisory activities, while partnering closely with business, finance, accounting, legal, treasury, tax centers and external tax service providers.\nThe role will combine hands-on operational ownership and stakeholder leadership, helping ensure consistent execution, effective risk management and continuous improvement across the potential markets within scope.\nThe successful candidate will work as part of a globally integrated tax organization and will contribute to the development and standardization of indirect tax processes, controls and operating practices across markets.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIndirect Tax Compliance & Operations\nManage end-to-end indirect tax compliance for India and assigned markets, ensuring timely filings, payments, and statutory reporting.\nMonitor tax obligations, compliance risks, and controls while maintaining robust documentation and audit readiness.\nProvide indirect tax expertise, manage advisor relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive compliance, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.\nTax Accounting, Controls & Governance\nSupport accurate indirect tax accounting and reporting in compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and company tax policies.\nMaintain effective indirect tax controls and governance by monitoring compliance, documentation, and process adherence.\nDrive consistency and continuous improvement of indirect tax processes and controls across assigned markets.\nTax Audits, Controversy & Authorities\nSupport indirect tax audits, reviews, and controversy matters by coordinating with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.\nMonitor legislative and regulatory changes, assess business impact, and drive appropriate compliance actions.\nYour Future at Kyndryl\nEvery position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. And finally, you’re open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Technical and Professional Expertise:\nThe ideal candidate will possess:\n10+ years of indirect tax, tax accounting, compliance, or advisory experience, preferably within a multinational organization and/or Big 4 environment.\nStrong expertise in indirect tax compliance, tax accounting, controls, and multi-jurisdictional tax operations, with experience managing external advisors and service providers.\nExcellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work across Finance, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Shared Services, and business teams in a global environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/tax technology platforms (e.g., SAP), with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExperience supporting indirect tax operations across multiple countries within regional or global tax operating models.\nExperience driving process standardization, transformation, automation, and outsourced/co-sourced tax compliance initiatives.\nProven ability to manage tax audits and authority interactions, navigate matrix organizations, and translate complex tax requirements into practical business solutions.\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
