This role focuses on day-to-day operational excellence, facilities readiness, and coordination across technical and facilities teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance. Success is measured through uptime, incident prevention, audit readiness, and the consistent delivery of operational outcomes aligned to customer requirements. What you will do\nManage daily data center operations including power, cooling, space, and environmental controls\nOversee preventive maintenance and operational procedures to maintain availability and resilience\nCoordinate facility activities with infrastructure, network, storage, and platform teams\nLead incident response for facilities related events and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions\nEnsure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements across the data center\nManage vendor performance for facilities services and maintenance activities\nPlan and track capacity for power, cooling, and floor space based on demand forecasts\nMaintain operational documentation, runbooks, and audit evidence\nSupport customer engagements by translating availability and performance requirements into operational actions\nWho You Are\nRequired skills and experienceExperience managing or supporting data center or critical facilities operations\nHands on experience with power, cooling, fire suppression, and environmental monitoring systems\nExperience managing incidents, change activities, and maintenance windows in a 24x7 environment\nAbility to coordinate cross functional teams during operational events and planned activities\nExperience working with external vendors and service providers for facilities operations\nKnowledge of data center safety, security, and compliance standards\nAbility to use operational metrics to monitor performance and drive improvements\nPreferred skills and experience\nExperience supporting customer facing or managed services environments\nFamiliarity with capacity planning and lifecycle management for data center facilities\nExperience preparing for and supporting internal or external audits\nKnowledge of IT infrastructure dependencies within data center environments\n•Certification or training related to data center operations or facilities management\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
