The Role
As a Data Management professional at Kyndryl, you'll be involved in creating innovative solutions that bring data to life. From building cutting-edge proof-of-concept models to architecting data systems tailored to client needs, you'll transform complex requirements into robust, scalable solutions. Your role will involve hands-on work with a diverse range of technologies, ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of vendor products, services, and bespoke data solutions. You'll be the go-to expert for users navigating highly technical, sophisticated data systems, with a deep understanding of both relational and non-relational database technologies.
Your work will include managing and administering key database systems, such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and emerging cloud-based technologies. Plan and execute legacy data migration, transformation, and cleansing. Validate migrated data for accuracy and completeness. Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure minimal downtime.
You'll oversee database performance, constantly monitoring and optimizing to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and security. By developing and enforcing best practices around data management, you'll safeguard the integrity of critical information while ensuring it remains secure.
In addition to the technical challenges, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, playing a pivotal role in database-related projects and initiatives. Keeping pace with industry trends and advancements in database technologies - you’ll evaluate and recommend new tools and solutions that keep your organization at the cutting edge of data management.

Required Skills and Experience
6+ years of overall experience in data migration. 3+ years in public sector or legacy system migration preferred.
Bachelor’s in IT/CS;
3+ years in legacy data migration for public sector
Hands-on experience with ETL tools, SQL scripts, schema mapping, and large dataset migration
Preferable
Handled large volume of data sets with multiple schema with more than 60-70 tables.
Experience in Aadhaar-seeded data or revenue department projects preferred
3 years of experience in database and application administration, with proficiency in Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL, and cloud-based database technologies
Understanding of database concepts, architecture, and best practices
Experience with database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring
