At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data. \nWhat you will do\nMaintain Performance \nPrevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance. Debug and Test \nFind and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running. Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.\nWho You Are\nRequired skills and experience\nExperience working as a software engineer on complex software projects. \nExcellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem-solving skills. \nSoftware development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software. \nExperienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST-based web services. \nKnowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), messaging queues. \nDeep understanding of OOP and design patterns. Preferred skills and experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. \nCertification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl. \nExperience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.\nThe base compensation range for the position in the U.S. is -$143,640 to $273,000 based on a full-time schedule reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Kyndryl, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. Your actual compensation may vary depending on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, geography, relevant job-related skills, education and experience, certification and licenses, internal pay equity, and market and business consideration.\nThe pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement. There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:\nCalifornia (San Francisco Bay Area): $172,440 to $327,600\nCalifornia (All Other): $158,040 to $300,360\nColorado: $143,640 to $273,000\nMassachusetts/ Virginia: $143,640 to $300,360\nNew York City: $172,440 to $327,600\nWashington: $158,040 to $300,360\nWashington DC: $158,040 to $300,360\nThis position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.
