We invest in skills and give people opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow.\nThe Role\nKyndryl is seeking a Director, AI Security to lead the team responsible for securing Kyndryl internal AI platforms, applications, copilots, agents, model deployments, and frontier AI initiatives. This technical people leader will define the function strategy, build and develop the team, establish a durable operating model, and ensure security controls are implemented across the enterprise AI lifecycle.\nWhat You Will Do\nBuild, lead, coach, and develop the AI Security team with clear roles, priorities, delivery expectations, and career paths.\nOwn the team charter, roadmap, intake model, service catalog, operating rhythm, budget priorities, metrics, and executive reporting.\nDefine and execute the technical strategy for enterprise AI security.\nDirect reusable controls for AI applications, runtimes, gateways, orchestration services, and model platforms.\nOversee AI threat modeling, architecture review, adversarial testing, code and agent testing, telemetry, and remediation.\nDrive material AI risks to remediation, approved exception, or explicit risk acceptance.\nPartner across Cybersecurity, CIO, AI Platform, AI Governance, Architecture, Engineering, Data, Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and business teams.\nBrief executives on posture, material risks, investment needs, tradeoffs, and recommended decisions.\nKyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccinationto align with their respective COVID-19 vaccinationpolicies. Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\n10 or more years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, application security, cloud security, platform security, software engineering, or a related field. \nDemonstrated experience leading and developing technical teams. \nExperience owning an enterprise security capability, technical program, product, or engineering roadmap. \nStrong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, IAM, secure software development, telemetry, and platform engineering. \nAbility to assess complex architectures and guide practical implementation decisions. \nStrong executive communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building or securing generative AI applications, agents, copilots, model platforms, or machine learning systems. \nExperience with AI gateways, RAG, vector databases, model routing, orchestration, MCP, or model-serving platforms. \nExperience with AI red teaming, adversarial testing, prompt injection defenses, agent testing, or automated control validation. \nRelevant security, cloud, engineering leadership, or AI certifications. \nThe base compensation range for the position in the U.S. is - $179,760 to $341,520 based on a full-time schedule reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Kyndryl, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.\nYour actual compensation may vary depending on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, geography, relevant job-related skills, education and experience, certification and licenses, internal pay equity, and market and business consideration. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.\nThere is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:\nCalifornia (San Francisco Bay Area):\n$215,640 to $409,800\nCalifornia (All Other):\n$197,640 to $375,600\nColorado:\n$179,760 to $341,520\nMassachusetts/ Virginia:\n$179,760 to $375,600\nNew York City:\n$215,640 to $409,800\nWashington:\n$197,640 to $375,600\nWashington DC:\n$197,640 to $375,600\nThis position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
