About the Role

We are seeking an Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychologist or Psychometrician to drive our talent and organizational analytics by People Science team to drive our talent and engagement analytics. Our business is to translate the skills inherent in our technical and consultative workforce into customer impact. We therefore seek to optimize the development and deployment of our employees’ skills, while providing industry-leading experience for our Kyndryls and our clients.

As our talent analytics capability matures beyond core operational reporting toward advanced analytics, this role bridges sophisticated statistical modeling with enterprise talent strategy. This work is fueled largely by our skills strategy and will support our recruiting, learning, engagement, performance management, leadership development, and overall organizational effectiveness. Specifically, you will oversee psychometric validation, continuous listening systems, and advanced talent analytics.

Kyndryl is a global, largely remote company, where you will join a group of 40 People and Workforce Analytics professionals and lead a team of 5 analysts and psychometricians. We are fast, flat, and focused. You will collaborate with dedicated engineering teams (who handle data wrangling), a diverse group of HR professionals, fellow data scientists, and business leaders. By working directly with senior leadership-including the CHRO, Head of Talent, and Head of Wellness-you will translate complex business problems into scientifically rigorous, high-impact solutions aligned with our business goals. Your work will directly influence our enterprise strategy and operations and impact on tens of thousands of employees.

What You Will Do

Talent development and performance management:

• Drive analytics to identify drivers of success to support processes and programs for employee and leadership development, including training, successful matching to projects, assessment tools, and leadership development efforts.

• Oversee psychometric modeling, assessment validation (e.g., Item Response Theory), and Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) leveraging skills graphs to optimize skill deployment.

• Design and refine performance management systems to support - as Kyndryl’s offerings increase in sophistication - the continued evolution of Kyndryl’s workforce.

Organizational development and employee engagement:

• Evaluate organizational networks and interactions and identify opportunities to improve workplace productivity, culture, and employee satisfaction.

• Lead enterprise employee listening strategies and survey architectures, developing and analyzing employee engagement surveys and continuous listening systems to inform continuous organizational effectiveness, enhance the employee experience, and ensure Kyndryl remains the employer of choice within the industry.

Research, insight generation, and executive translation:

• Conduct research to support the development and validation of new Talent analytics and strategies; incorporate new advancements and best practices into your work.

• Partner closely with senior executives (e.g., CHRO, C-suite, business unit leaders) to understand organizational challenges.

• Translate analytic results into actionable insights, framing and presenting findings through the lens of tangible business impact rather than pure academic research to inform technical and non-technical partners.

Mentorship, collaboration, and team direction:

• Manage and mentor a team of 5 analysts and psychometricians; provide direct coaching, oversight of technical deliverables, and drive the team's strategic roadmap.

• Collaborate with internal data science and engineering teams, HR experts, business leaders, and senior executives to understand business problems, problem-solve solutions, communicate insights, and deploy advanced analytical models smoothly into production.

Who You Are

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience & Analytical Rigor: 7+ years of experience executing advanced analytics, including psychometric techniques (e.g., Item Response Theory), ONA leveraging skills graphs, and deploying models into production within large-scale enterprise environments. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

• Leadership & Project Execution: Proven prior management experience leading, mentoring, and developing analytics or technical personnel. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

• Executive Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders to distill actionable analytics plans from complex business problems. Demonstrated track record of conveying complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences to drive executive strategy.

• Programming & Technical Expertise: Hands-on proficiency in statistical coding languages (specifically R, Python, SPSS, SAS, and Cypher/graph analytics) alongside working knowledge of ML modeling environments and platforms (e.g., Azure ML, Vortex AI AutoML, SageMaker).

• Team & Organizational Fit: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a group of truly delightful and dedicated humans.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Psychometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (I/O Psychology or Psychometrics strongly preferred).

• Industry Context: Prior experience within professional services or fast-paced matrixed organizations.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $179,760 to $341,520 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California (San Francisco Bay Area): $215,640 to $409,800

California (All Other): $197,640 to $375,600

Colorado: $179,760 to $341,520

Massachusetts: $179,760 to $375,600

New York City: $215,640 to $409,800

Washington: $197,640 to $375,600

Washington DC: $197,640 to $375,600

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
