Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure - good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges - in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. In fact, a frequent sign of success for our Infrastructure Specialists is when clients come back to us and ask for the same person by name. That’s the kind of impact you can have!

Required Technical and Professional Experience

Specialist in Wintel Infrastructure Implementation and Virtualization

Job Objective

Design, implement, migrate, and integrate virtualization solutions based on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, participating in infrastructure transformation projects, platform consolidation, and technology modernization, ensuring compliance with availability, performance, and security standards.

Main Responsibilities

· More than 5 years of experience in x86 server/application migration or related IT infrastructure roles.

· In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems

· VMware vCenter/ESXi/Microsoft Hyper-V/ Failover Clustering implementation and migration experience.

· Implementación de Active Directory, DNS y DHCP

· Networking for virtualized environments.

· PowerShell.

· Experience carrying out migration or technology transformation projects.

· Experience with public/private cloud management, especially migrations from onprem to cloud.

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; effective written and verbal communication.

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

· English proficiency: Intermediate to advanced (required for global communication and documentation)

· VMware migrations to Hyper-V.Azure Stack HCI.

· Nutanix AHV.

· Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.

· VMware HCX.

· Automation tools and Infrastructure as Code

Desirable Certifications

· VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV).

· Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.

· Microsoft Hyper-V / Windows Server Administration.

· Azure Administrator Associate.

· ITIL Foundation
