At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data.\nThe Senior Engineer - Safety Certification is responsible for software verification, validation, certification, and compliance activities supporting safety-critical embedded software programs. The role contributes to certification evidence generation, requirements traceability, verification activities, and compliance support for customer projects in Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Medical, and Automotive domains. And finally, you’re open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Technical & Professional Expertise\n10+ years of experience in software engineering, verification, validation, or safety certification.\n\nStrong expertise in DO-178C certification, compliance, verification & validation (V&V), requirements traceability, and audit support.\n\nHands-on experience in embedded software development, C/Embedded C, BSPs, device drivers, and SDLC processes.\n\nProficiency with LDRA, Polarion, DOORS, Git, Jira, Linux, and Python.\n\nExperience leading certification activities and delivering safety-critical software projects.\n\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Technical & Professional Experience\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n\nExperience leading safety-critical software certification programs.\n\nExperience managing global or distributed engineering teams.\n\nExposure to VxWorks, Embedded Linux, and Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP).\n\nFamiliarity with safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and IEC 50128.\n\nExperience supporting customer audits, certification reviews, and compliance engagements.\n\nProven ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements in certification environments.\n\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
