In this role, you support system availability, respond to alerts, and ensure stable day-to-day operations across critical infrastructure environments.\nYou will proactively monitor system health, follow established operational procedures, and escalate incidents as required to maintain service continuity. Your work directly contributes to the reliability and availability of business-critical systems while providing an opportunity to grow foundational skills in mainframe operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor mainframe and distributed systems from the central operations console to ensure system availability and stability.\n\nRespond to system alerts within defined response times and escalate incidents according to established procedures.\n\nTrack system availability, incidents, and operational events, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.\n\nOperate and monitor environments using tools such as z/OS Console, monitoring platforms, Tandem, and Unisys systems.\n\nFollow operational runbooks and standard procedures while collaborating with higher-level support teams as needed.\n\nYour Future at Kyndryl\nEvery position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to growing your career. You bring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and follow defined operational procedures. You are comfortable working in a structured operations environment and understand the importance of accurate monitoring, escalation, and documentation in supporting critical business systems.\nRequired Skills and Experience\n1+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and system monitoring concepts.\n\nWillingness to learn mainframe operations and console tools (z/OS, Omegamon, etc)\n\nAbility to monitor alerts, follow procedures, and escalate issues appropriately.\n\nGood communication skills and attention to detail in operational environments.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nBasic English proficiency.\n\nHigh school diploma or technical degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools or IT operations environments is a plus but not required.\n\nInterest in developing a career in IT operations or mainframe infrastructure support.\n\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
