You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.\nThere’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.\nKey Responsibilities :\nInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for z/OS and IBM MQ environments across development, test, and production systems.\nAdminister MQ Queue Managers, Queue Sharing Groups (QSG), Sysplex environments, and Coupling Facility structures to ensure high availability and performance.\nPerform advanced troubleshooting of WAS and MQ issues, including JVM crashes, thread dumps, application failures, queue management, and performance bottlenecks.\nMonitor, tune, and optimize middleware infrastructure using tools such as OMEGAMON, RMF, MQ Explorer, Dynatrace, SYSVIEW, and BMC MainView.\nDesign and implement MQ clustering, workload balancing, disaster recovery, backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts using wsadmin (Jython), REXX, and shell scripting to improve operational efficiency and deployment processes.\nImplement and maintain security controls including SSL/TLS, JAAS, SAF integration, RACF policies, and MQ security best practices.\nParticipate in 24x7 on-call support, major incident management, root cause analysis, documentation, and mentoring of junior administrators while driving continuous service improvements.\nAt Kyndryl, we're committed to providing the best possible service to our customers, and as a Systems Management Specialist, you'll be an integral part of that mission. And finally, you’re open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Technical and Professional Expertise\n6 to 10 years of experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server for z/OS (WASz) administration and IBM MQ support.\nStrong experience in installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IBM MQ environments.\nHands-on expertise with Queue Sharing Groups (QSG) and Coupling Facility technologies.\nExperience with MQ Explorer, Tivoli Monitoring, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, BMC MainView, MQATTACH, and ICC.\nStrong understanding of MQ clustering, distributed integration, and workload balancing concepts.\nKnowledge of workload management (WLM), high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.\nExperience in system backup, recovery, performance analysis, and root-cause troubleshooting.\nStrong understanding of z/OS operating environments and middleware architecture.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred Technical and Professional Experience\nIBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server for z/OS certification.\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise IBM Z environments with mission-critical workloads.\nExperience with middleware upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.\nExposure to CICS, Db2, IMS, and other IBM Z middleware technologies.\nExperience working in global delivery and 24x7 support environments.\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
