The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform architecture, Kubernetes, cloud automation, CI/CD, developer platforms and emerging AI infrastructure.\nThe position requires a combination of hands-on technical architecture, platform product thinking, engineering leadership, automation expertise and stakeholder management.\nPreferred Skills\nAutomation & Infrastructure Engineering\nDevelop reusable automation capabilities for infrastructure provisioning and Day-2 operations.\nDesign automation frameworks using Ansible, Terraform, VMware vRA/vRO/Aria, Chef, AWS and ServiceNow.\nEstablish composable automation patterns that can be reused across multiple technology platforms and enterprise environments.\nDrive reduction of bespoke automation through standardized and governed engineering patterns.\nCI/CD & Platform Lifecycle\nDesign enterprise CI/CD and application lifecycle architectures.\nEstablish build-once/promote-everywhere, ephemeral environment and automated rollback capabilities.\nIntegrate source control, build, deployment and infrastructure automation into standardized delivery pipelines.\nPromote engineering practices that improve deployment consistency, repeatability and operational governance.\nAgentic Automation\nDesign and evolve AI-powered automation solutions for infrastructure and IT operations.\nApply RAG, historical operational data, SOPs, tool integration and contextual decision-making to automation use cases.\nExplore autonomous incident remediation and AI-assisted operational workflows.\nArchitecture Governance\nEstablish architecture standards, reusable reference architectures and engineering patterns.\nEnsure platform solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, scalability and operational requirements.\nWork closely with engineering, application, cloud, security and operations teams to drive platform adoption.\nWho You Are\nRequired Technical Skills\nPlatform Engineering / IDP: Platform-as-a-Product, Golden Paths, Backstage, Developer Portals\nKubernetes: AKS, VKS, Docker, OpenShift\nCloud: Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments\nAutomation: Ansible, Terraform, Chef\nVMware: vSphere, vRA, vRO, Aria\nAI Infrastructure: Multimodal AI, Agentic AI\nDevOps: CI/CD, GitOps, immutable deployments, multi-environment promotion\nProgramming: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Shell\nAI Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph\nInfrastructure: VMware and enterprise infrastructure platforms\nExperience & Qualification\n10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud automation, platform engineering or enterprise architecture.\nProven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale platforms and automation frameworks.\nStrong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.\nExperience building or operating an Internal Developer Platform / Developer Portal.\nExperience with enterprise automation and infrastructure-as-code.\nExperience in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms or AI/ML platform engineering is highly desirable.\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
