Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.\nThe Role\nYour Role\nAs an RoCE / Infiniband Network Engineer, you will provide hands-on troubleshooting and change execution for high-speed Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) fabrics. You will work with Remote Direct Memory Access over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) and/or InfiniBand environments, restoring service for common link, switch, Host Channel Adapter (HCA), Network Interface Card (NIC), Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), congestion and configuration issues. You will own service restoration and escalate architectural or highly complex fabric conditions to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME).\nWhat You Will Do\nTroubleshoot switch, HCA/NIC, port and optic issues using the Command-Line Interface (CLI), telemetry and fabric-management tools. \nAnalyze link errors, drops, flaps, speed and Forward Error Correction (FEC) conditions, congestion counters and RDMA reachability. \nOperate InfiniBand/Unified Fabric Manager (UFM) or NVIDIA Spectrum-X/RoCE management tooling within approved access boundaries. \nFor RoCE environments, troubleshoot Data Center Bridging (DCB), Priority Flow Control (PFC), Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN), Quality of Service (QoS) configuration and common lossless-network issues. \nFor InfiniBand environments, troubleshoot link, subnet and fabric conditions, HCA state and common subnet-management issues. \nParticipate in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN), leaf-spine and fabric change implementation as defined by site architecture. \nCorrelate network and fabric symptoms with multi-node GPU/NVIDIA Collective Communications Library (NCCL) workload degradation and engage compute/software teams as needed. \nPerform approved firmware and Operating System (OS) changes, cable/optic replacement and post-change validation. \nOwn Service-Level Agreement (SLA) and ticket progression, contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA), mentor Level 1 (L1) engineers and improve operational runbooks. \nYour Future at Kyndryl\nThis role gives you the opportunity to deepen your expertise in high-speed networking for GPU, AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments while expanding your capabilities across RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, fabric telemetry and automation. And finally, you’re open and borderless, naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Skills and Experience\n3-5+ years of data-center network engineering experience, including hands-on high-speed fabric experience.\nProduction experience with RoCE version 2 (RoCEv2)/RDMA and/or InfiniBand; experience in GPU or HPC environments is strongly preferred.\nHands-on experience with switch CLI, optics/cabling, NIC/HCA diagnostics and performance counters.\nWorking knowledge of DCB, PFC, ECN, QoS and lossless Ethernet for RoCE environments.\nWorking knowledge of UFM and subnet-management concepts for InfiniBand environments.\nExperience with leaf-spine, BGP/EVPN and high-speed 100/200/400 Gigabit (Gb)+ fabrics.\nFormal incident management, change management and RCA experience.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience supporting GPU, AI or HPC infrastructure and correlating network conditions with distributed workload performance.\nFamiliarity with NVIDIA Spectrum-X and/or ConnectX technologies.\nExperience with network telemetry, fabric-management tooling and/or network automation.\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
