Provide L2/L3 operational support, perform proactive monitoring, ensure compliance with security standards, and collaborate with application teams to maintain database reliability and performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nPostgreSQL Database Administration\nProvide L2/L3 operational support for PostgreSQL production databases.\nTroubleshoot database issues and ensure high availability through replication.\nConfigure and maintain replication environments.\nManage SSL certificates, renewals, and certificate lifecycle.\nPlan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).\nConfigure authentication mechanisms including Kerberos, LDAP, and SSL certificate-based authentication.\nConfigure Kerberos authentication and provide secure read-only database access through pgAdmin.\nManage database users, roles, and privileges based on application and business requirements.\nPerform performance analysis and query optimization using EXPLAIN ANALYZE.\nExecute regular database maintenance activities such as VACUUM, ANALYZE, and housekeeping tasks.\nAutomate routine administrative tasks using custom shell scripts and Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).\nAutomate and generate database health check and production status reports.\nMonitor PostgreSQL environments using Dynatrace and respond to database alerts.\nCollaborate with application teams to resolve database-related issues and performance concerns.\nCassandra Database Administration\nProvide L2 support for Cassandra production environments.\nTroubleshoot database issues using system logs and application diagnostics.\nManage production Cassandra clusters and ensure proper replication and quorum configurations.\nPerform SSL certificate lifecycle management to minimize service disruptions.\nExecute Cassandra version upgrades to address security vulnerabilities and maintain platform support.\nAutomate operational tasks using UCD templates and Git repositories.\nConfigure authentication mechanisms and manage database access according to client requirements.\nUtilize DSE OpsCenter for monitoring, repairs, compactions, backups, and cluster maintenance.\nProvision and manage database roles and permissions based on application requirements.\nPerform routine health checks and proactively monitor cluster health.\nIBM Db2 Database Administration\nProvide administration and operational support for IBM Db2 LUW environments.\nConfigure and maintain High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) and SQL replication environments.\nAssist in configuring and maintaining Tivoli System Automation (TSA) for high availability.\nPerform Fix Pack upgrades to ensure security, compatibility, and system stability.\nPlan and execute database maintenance, backups, and restore activities.\nSupport Disaster Recovery testing and recovery procedures.\nTroubleshoot database issues using tools such as db2diag, db2pd,expln,advis and db2support.\nPerform query tuning and SQL performance optimization based on application requirements.\nManage transaction logs and database housekeeping activities.\nHandle SSL certificate renewals and database security compliance.\nMonitor database performance and alerts using Dynatrace.\nManage database users, roles, and access permissions based on application requirements.\nCommon Responsibilities Across Database Platforms\nMaintain accurate asset information in ServiceNow (SNOW), ensuring zero stale or orphaned managed assets.\nGenerate and support monthly Resource Utilization (RU) and currency reports.\nCoordinate with Configuration Management teams for effective database license management.\nIdentify, assess, and remediate infrastructure and database security vulnerabilities.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and evidence.\nGenerate and maintain quarterly Access Control Lists (ACLs).\nCollaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and client teams to ensure smooth database operations.\nPerform proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.\nEnsure compliance with organizational security, operational, and change management standards.\nParticipate in production support, maintenance
