The Role
At Kyndryl we support all major cloud platforms, so you’ll get the chance to use everything you know - and then some. You’ll also become expert at knowing when and how to call on other SMEs outside your wheelhouse. Thinking your way around pre-existing limitations will grow your creativity and flexibility. Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on storage arrays, including firmware updates and health checks.
Upgrade and maintain backup tools, applications, and operating systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical backup issues to ensure business continuity.
Lead execution of backup-related projects, initiatives, and migrations.
Manage change management activities (raising, implementing, and closing RFCs).
Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for support, escalations, and issue resolution.
Create, maintain, and publish weekly/monthly reports on backup operations.
Fulfill incident and service requests related to backup and recovery.
Oversee and manage BAU (Business-as-Usual) backup operations.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup management.
Advanced to expert knowledge of different backup tools and technologies.
Proven experience with:
EMC Avamar and Networker
EMC Data Domain and Recovery Point
Druva Cloud-based Backup for Endpoints and VMs
Strong troubleshooting skills in handling critical backup and recovery scenarios.
Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.
Preferred Technical & Professional Skills
Expertise in Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, Recovery Point, and Druva suite.
Ability to manage both on-prem and cloud backup environments.
Experience in leading BAU operations and driving backup optimization strategies.
