Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.\nThe Role\nYour role\nAs a Mainframe Infrastructure Specialist, you will understand customer requirements and propose optimal technical solutions while applying your expertise in areas such as mainframe modernization, Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, NetView, z/WAS, and z/Linux.\nYou will also facilitate effective handovers to stakeholders by preparing technical documentation, configuration diagrams, procedures, and review materials, assess technical and schedule risks and feasibility from the early stages of projects, and collaborate with architects, Project Managers, and engineers to support stable delivery.\nWhat you will do\nUnderstand the customer’s current mainframe environment, business requirements, and technical challenges\nSupport proposals, design, build, testing, changes, migration, and operations for mainframe products and services\nLead technical analysis and issue resolution in areas such as Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, NetView, z/WAS, and z/Linux\nCreate technical materials, diagrams, procedures, and review documents for handover to stakeholders\nAssess technical risk, schedule risk, and feasibility early in the project and propose mitigation actions\nWork with architects, Project Managers, and engineers to support stable delivery throughout the project\nAnalyze impact during incidents or problems and drive quick recovery and permanent fixes\nWho You Are\nRequired skills and experience\nDeep expertise and hands-on experience in mainframe-related technologies\nExperience in mainframe modernization or technologies such as Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, NetView, z/WAS, or z/Linux\nKnowledge of LE/COBOL, mainframe hardware, and networking\nExperience with applications, infrastructure, and system operations in enterprise IT environments\nStrong problem-solving skills to analyze technical issues and define concrete actions\nExperience collaborating with multiple teams to drive engineering solutions\nEffective verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-success mindset\nPreferred skills and experience\nExtensive experience in mainframe design, build, migration, operations improvement, and incident response\nExperience providing technical support and reviews across multiple mainframe products and services\nKnowledge and experience creating technical plans, blueprints, configuration models, and operating procedures\nAbility to compare alternatives logically and select the best approach\nStrong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail\nExperience in process improvement, standardization, and automation\nMotivation to grow as an architect or technical leader with continuous learning mindset\nBeing You\nThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
