The Role
Your role
Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.
In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and deploy microservices using Spring Boot 4 and Java 17+
- Implement real-time event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka
- Consume, transform, and enrich streaming data
- Implement change-detection logic and publish new events when data changes occur
- Integrate and optimize data persistence in MySQL
- Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure PaaS
- Implement fault-tolerant, scalable, and highly available streaming applications
- Configure retry mechanisms, dead-letter topics, and idempotent processing
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
