The Role
As a zLinuxSystemsProgrammer, you will provide expert-level support for the underlying mainframe operating system platform and DBDC subsystem programming on which enterprise applications are developed and deployed. This role requires deep technicalexpertise, leadership in problem-solving, and a proactive approach to system optimization and risk management.
You will lead initiatives in automation, performance tuning, and modernization, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across global teams to ensure business continuity and compliance with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead administration, configuration, and optimization ofzLinux/zVMsystems on mainframe platforms.
Ensure system availability, patch compliance, and proactive risk mitigation.
Oversee integration of management tools and develop Linux shell scripts for automation.
Support mainframe technologies.
Drive initiatives for automation, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices andmaintainbusiness continuity.
Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintainaccuratedocumentation and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in mainframe orzLinuxsystem administration/support, with 3+ years in a senior or lead role.
DeepexpertiseinzLinux/zVMsystem management, patching, and performance optimization.
Advancedproficiencyin Linux shell scripting and management tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
English: Intermediate to advanced (requiredfor global collaboration and documentation).
Preferred Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications in Linux, mainframe, or ITIL.
Proventrack recordof leading automation and modernization projects.
Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
