Our products are built to the highest professional and sustainable standards, which we, continue to define and elevate.\nAttached to the Director of Technology, Electronics, the Head of Technology, Embedded Systems leads a team responsible for the exploration of technologies and the development of reusable components and platform solutions.\nThe main activities include real-time OS, time sensitive networking, and system security.\nManaging embedded software projects OR development activities:\nLead and manage the platform OS (real-time Linux & security) and technologies (networking, FPGA) teams to deliver software platforms and technologies to the Embedded Software and Audio Development Team that meets the needs of our users.\nAct as a lead developer by providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team, and by contributing to the codebase.\nEstimate, validate and track progress, skill requirements and communicate them to upper management.\nAnticipate bottlenecks and risks, provide management escalation and work with product managers and product owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.\nEnsure the software is robust, future proof, efficient and maintainable.\nWork closely with the director and your peers to define and enforce state-of-the-art coding standards and architecture.\nWork closely with the head of Embedded Software Validation to define and enforce state-of-the-art test plans. \nMonitor team activities to ensure compliance with development processes and quality standards.\nSolve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions that achieve results.\nImplement mechanisms to monitor and report on the progress of her/his embedded platforms and technologies development activities.\nSupport, communicate and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization.\nDesign, code and debug applications.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nResponsible for managing the Embedded Platform OS and Technologies Team.\nAct as a leader.\nEngage the team, foster collective thought process and cooperation.\nKeep the team informed of the overall schedule and changes.\nCoach and train the team on best practices, processes, and standards as needed.\nSupport the team, provide feedback, and resolve breakdowns.\nEvaluate individual performance.\nWorking as part of a Global Team:\nLead and manage stakeholder communication and requirements.\nInterface with other project teams to ensure clear and timely communication of project deliverables and status.\nCommunicate if deliverables cannot be attained and get consensus on steps forward with relevant stakeholders.\nEstablish close working relationships with discipline leads.\nReport status at regular intervals, escalate urgent issues in a timely manner.\nQualifications:\nMaster’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.\nProven experience in embedded systems engineering and bringing products to market.\nStrong knowledge of embedded software development processes and life cycle.\nGood problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.\nGood communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.\nFluent English.\nWhat we offer\nAt L-Acoustics, newcomers are welcomed into a dynamic and inclusive environment that blends technological excellence with human-centered values.
