This work includes conceptualization, design, verification, validation, manufacture, and systems implementation. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:\nDeveloping conceptual and detailed designs of customer mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for train-mounted applications.\nConducting design validation and verification using FEA modelling, prototyping, and field assessment.\nDeveloping design/component specifications and generate manufacturing drawings.\nSupporting manufacturing and conduct QA.\nGenerating trial plans, reports, manuals, and other documents.\nCoordinating and participate in trials, installations, and test of equipment in the field.\nInterfacing with internal and external clients/stakeholders.\nDesigning and conducting experiments and perform data acquisition and analysis.\nWhat Do You Need….\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.\nEIT with EGBC or eligible for registration.\n2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical design. Experience in the railroad industry an asset.\nProficiency with CAD modelling (SolidWorks preferred). FEA experience an asset.\nExperience with electro-mechanical systems an asset, including automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
