Our current projects include the maintenance and modernization of Canadian and Australian F/A-18 Hornets.\nJob Description:\nAs an ACS(ALSE) technician, you will perform first and second line repairs, modifications and inspections IAW approved technical directives. Technicians are expected to support Military personnel by assisting technicians in both pilot gear, seats, and survival kits in second line shops.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform inspections and maintenance on all aircraft related Safety/Survival equipment;\nDocument non-conformities according to established procedures;\nDraft and complete inspection reports and Work Orders accurately;\nMinimum 6 years' experience on aircraft;\nMaintain a high standard of workmanship and discipline as detailed in CFTOs;\nConduct scheduled and unscheduled kit inspections and report results to Supervisor;\nAct as a team member, providing assistance to other team members as required;\nPerform regular inspection and maintenance of support equipment, ensuring serviceability;\nObserve and adhere to all safety regulations in the performance of duties,\nMaintain Job Site /shop cleanliness, in compliance with safety regulations;\nAssist in initiating technical and administrative reports as required;\nForward supply requirements to section supply coordinator in a timely fashion, ensuring stock levels are maintained;\nQualifications: (refer to Career Framework)\nGraduated from a TCCA recognized AME Training program focused on “S” Rating; or\nCompleted RCAF ACS /ALSE / LSS training, preferably with fleet on-type focused training;\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nStrong experience with seat pack inspections\nStrong experience O2 regulators\nStrong experience with SKADs\nStrong ability to understand and read technical orders;\nVery good experience in ejection seat emergency procedures\nVery good knowledge of CF-18 ALSE;\nKnowledge of Canadian Forces fighter pilot gear;\nBe conversant with CFTOs and other technical information pertaining Safety Systems;\nAbility to work independently, with minimal direction or as part of a team;\nAbility to present ideas/solutions to peers, technical staff, customers and supervisors (e.g., new or improvement processes, procedures);\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to adapt to new software systems; and\nProven organizational ability.\nEligibility Criteria (Mandatory):\nMust be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.\nMust be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).\nL3Harris Technologies is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs.
