For over 70 years, L3Harris has designed and developed industry-leading carriage and release systems for fighter, rotary-wing and unmanned platforms and we design, manufacture and test a large portion of our release systems portfolio in our Brighton facility which offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space. Our mission-critical release systems equipment is on most major airborne fighter platforms worldwide, including the F-35, along with other aircraft like the Gripen and Typhoon.\nPlease note, our Brighton business is moving to a new location in 2027. membership reimbursement (discretionary) \nWhat the role will involve\nThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:\nBuild and test precision electro-mechanical motors and associated components used in aerospace applications to engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.\nCarry out assembly activities including soldering, fitting bearings, measuring shaft radial and end play, and mechanical assembly operations.\nConduct electrical testing and inspection using approved equipment such as multimeters, test rigs and other standard test equipment.\nComplete product documentation accurately and maintain component traceability throughout the manufacturing process.\nIdentify and report product non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.\nCarry out repair, refurbishment and rework activities to approved instructions and specifications.\nConduct all work safely and use PPE in accordance with company procedures and risk assessments.\nSupport other assembly areas as required to meet business needs.\nWhat you’ll bring\nThe role requires the following experience and skills:\nExperience using precision measuring equipment and basic electronic test equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.\nBasic PC skills and experience completing production documentation.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nOrganised and methodical approach to work.\nHigh attention to detail.\nAbility to follow defined procedures and work to agreed timescales.\nExperience in electro-mechanical assembly and
