The ISSM will perform information system security activities under the guidance and oversight of the Senior Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on assigned information systems. The ISSM will be knowledgeable in information technology and information assurance standards and regulations.\nThis position is located in Rochester, NY: https://careers.l3harris.com/en/new-york\nEssential Functions:\nPerforming security control assessments and continuous monitoring\nConducting configuration and vulnerability scanning and remediation\nAuthoring and maintaining documentation and artifacts (body of evidence) in support of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems following the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF)\nRemediating security control deficiencies\nAssessing and approving change requests for assigned information systems\nPerforming user training and user account management oversight\nInvestigating and responding to security incidents and violations\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years prior related experience. \nActive Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nDoD 8570 IAM III certification.\nExperience as an ISSO/ISSM supporting classified systems under the DAAG and/or 32 CFR Part 117 Section 18.\nExperience as an ISSO/ISSM supporting NIPRNet and/or SIPRNet systems including CCRI or CORA assessments. \nExperience hardening information systems and/or performing configuration/vulnerability assessments against the DISA STIG standards.\nExperience auditing information system and user activity using SIEM tools like Splunk.\nExperience utilizing command line interfaces (CLI) and Linux/Unix commands to operate/support systems.\nExperience scanning information systems using Nessus based platforms (i.e., Tenable.sc). \nExperience with A&A system of record databases like eMASS and/or Xacta. \nExperience performing RMF A&A activities and system accreditation.\nExperience developing policies and procedures to implement security controls and customer requirements.\nExperience developing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) to document and mitigate security control deficiencies.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
