This pivotal role ensures timely, cost-effective delivery of products to their intended destinations. This position owns day-to-day inventory execution of the stockroom operation, shipping, receiving and government property administration in Norfolk ensuring consistent inventory practices, accuracy, and compliance.\nEssential Functions:\nManage day-to-day operations of the stockrooms ensuring materials are stored, handled, and issued in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and operational needs.\nOwn inventory accuracy performance of the stockrooms, including cycle count program execution, transaction discipline, variance investigation, and reconciliation.\nOversee kitting operations to ensure timely, accurate pulling of material against manufacturing work orders, supporting on-time kit availability and production schedule attainment. \nDirect shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely processing, documentation accuracy, packaging compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.\nAdminister government property processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulations. \nDevelop and implement process improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy, transaction controls, and audit readiness. \nMaintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. \nResolve any problems arising or complaints related to inventory, the stockroom, shipping, receiving or government property.\nLead, coach, and develop employees, including performance management. \nEnsure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.\nEstablish priorities, allocate resources, and hold the inventory and logistics teams accountable to inventory accuracy and operational goals.\nSupport internal and external audits, reporting requirements, and corrective actions related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and government property.\nPromote a culture of safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement. \nEnsure that all relevant procedures and processes meet current legislation and company standards. \n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nProven work experience as a warehouse manager. \nExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices. \nProven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. \nStrong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases. \n\nLeadership skills and ability to manage staff. \nStrong decision making and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent communication skills.Knowledge of MRP/ERP and Advance Planning tools such as DELTEK Costpoint \n\nAdvanced knowledge of MS office suite of products \nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $66,000-123,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
