The ideal candidate is an energetic individual with strong problem-solving ability as well as excellent skills in the areas of communication (both written and verbal); organization (physical and electronic); collaboration; and interpersonal interactions. The candidate must be detailed-oriented, reliable, able to prioritize, follow-up, and possess strong time management skills. Depot Repairs is responsible for identifying and resolving hardware problems and communicating hardware statuses within a timely manner. This position is responsible for supervising lower-level professionals or supervisors. Communicate with parties inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures. Make recommendations for improvements to processes, systems, and solutions. Plan and establish operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on department results. Understands basic management approaches and has proficient knowledge of the manufacturing supply chain.\nEssential Functions:\nPlans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements.\nAssists in the development of strategic plans for depot activity; implements and manages depot plans\nAdvises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers.\nEnsures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments.\nWorks to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.\nRecommend improvements to processes and policies in support of organizational goals; implements departmental policies and procedures to maximize output\nPresents corrective and preventative actions to maintain world-class customer service and continuous improvement\nCollaborate with other department supervisors to ensure smooth inter-department processes and procedures\nCompletes all projects assigned by management within the required timeframe\nLeads periodic inventory audits in the department and reconciles physical counts\nInterfaces with Operations Program Managers, Shop Floor Supervisors, and Operations Leadership to schedule and prioritize hardware completions\nFacilitates coordination and communication between supporting functions to develop a strategy to increase repair throughput and reduce cycle times\nCreates, tracks, and monitors monthly metrics and exceeds monthly delivery goals defined internally by implementing a repair strategy for increasing repair velocity\nRegularly reviews and updates command media and creates SOP work instructions\nMaintains team engagement and a positive work environment, supporting the company’s culture\nQualifications:\nUnderstands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.\nBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience. Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience\nActive Secret Clearance\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nPractical knowledge of full manufacturing supply chain.\nProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience with MRP systems/tools\nPMP Certification or equivalent\nPowerBI\nAI Integration\nData Analysis\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey area is $79,000 - $147,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
