The successful Controls Engineer will contribute as a member of the manufacturing engineering team by designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control production equipment and processes.\nEssential Functions:\nProvide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing equipment controls.\nDevelop equipment safety and technical specifications.\nPLC programming.\nTrap, identify, and correct equipment controls intermittent problems.\nLegacy equipment upgrades.\nDevelop interface systems for internal operations.\nSupport knowledge base systems and information sharing.\nBackup old and new equipment to a central server.\nVision system programming.\nRobot troubleshooting and programming.\nAssist in automating processes to save time and project cost.\nReview and update operational processes.\nPlan, advise, and implement effective systems to boost manufacturing.\nInterface with equipment vendors and specify equipment through writing Statement of Requirements documents.\nPrepare capital equipment requests.\nPrepare estimates for proposal responses.\nTravel can be up to 10%.\nAbility to obtain a US Security Clearance.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
