Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains laboratory test instrumentation. Works from specifications, operating manuals, engineering drawings and written material test instructions. Works with complex test instrumentation and computer systems. Operates related test instrumentation, conducts routine and complex testing, and reports data in prescribed format. Operates as a bench chemist conducting analyses per prescribed test methods. This is an Entry-Level position.\nEssential Functions:\nHandle, process, and mix chemicals in a laboratory setting.\n\nSample and test raw materials, propellants, and explosives.\n\nPrepare and collect raw test data.\n\nPerform complex mathematical calculations.\n\nClean, assemble and dismantle test hardware, equipment, and laboratory apparatus.\n\nPerform laboratory support work such as instrument calibration, cleaning, inventory, inspections, and material handling.\n\nGenerate test reports for completed analyses.\n\nReview and submit lab documentation for changes including test and calibration procedures.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
