This highly visible role involves analyzing complex tax issues, managing tax efficient structures and providing strategic guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and business operations including the organic expansion of business internationally. The Director of Tax Planning collaborates with senior leadership, finance, and legal teams to drive effective tax strategies that align with corporate objectives.\nThe ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, proven experience leading and executing complex transactions, and a strong business acumen. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a fast-paced and growing organization by shaping the company’s global tax strategy.\nEssential Functions:\nIdentify and implement tax-efficient strategies related to global structuring, legal entity alignment, cash mobilization, business expansion, and acquisitions and divestitures.\nLead and execute all tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, structuring, modeling, pre-divestiture and post-acquisition planning, integration, including financial statement and compliance reporting requirements as well as possible controversy support. \nDrafting, reviewing, and revising legal and financial documents to ensure tax implications are adequately addressed and calculated.\nProvide tax insights on strategic business initiatives, including commercial deals, financing arrangements, and global expansion.\nPartner with Legal, Controllership, Treasury, FP&A, Tax team members and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of tax initiatives.\nStay current on U.S. and international tax developments, assess implications and recommend planning strategies to address changes in the tax landscape.\nEnsure proper documentation and governance for tax planning initiatives; coordinate with transfer pricing teams as needed.\nManage relationships with external advisors and consultants to support planning, structuring, and transaction execution.\nContribute to the development of junior team members and play a key role in shaping the long-term success of the department.\nProvide technical tax analysis and related tax provision impacts of divestitures and acquisitions.\nAssist with associated return compliance requirements of associated transactions\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting and minimum 15 years of prior relevant tax experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
