The high-level responsibilities include:\nProvide technical and sustainment support for Second and Third line repair capability for avionic products on CP140 and F18 displays programs;\nDevelop and update automated and bench test procedures for avionics products;\nMilitary parts obsolescence research; and\nSupport Techs on the floor in R&O.\nIn this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. To achieve this, you will be called upon to:\nProvide technical leadership/engineering support to the operational R&O production line technical team;\nDevelop and update test procedures, test adapters and test programs for Avionic equipment on ATE and standalone BTS for RF, Analog and Digital testing;\nPerform limited assembly, rework and soldering tasks for test adapters;\nResolve component obsolescence issues and produce Engineering change documentation; and\nTroubleshoot technical problems and complete technical investigations.\nQualifications:\nGraduate of either Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Technologist program from a recognized University or College. Recent graduates will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with minimum of 2 to 3 years related experience in the following:\nDesign and development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for military and/or commercial avionics equipment testingPractical knowledge and experience developing test procedures for avionics;\n\nWorking knowledge and experience of J-STD-001 standard soldering and rework. Current J-STD-001 certification for hand soldering is an asset;\nDevelopment of Repair & Overhaul (R&O) test programs on ATE using one or more of the following programming languages and development environments: Python, NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows/CVI;\nWorking knowledge of RF technology and general electronics circuits;\nAbility to work independently, with minimal direction; and\nStrong computer & communication skills using MS Word, Excel plus AutoCad or equivalent.\n\nOperational requirements:\nMust be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program; and\nMust be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.\nL3Harris Technologies is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs.
