The role focuses on leading and supervising maintenance activities, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a large fleet of digital radio equipment to ensure serviceable assets are returned to end users in a timely manner.\nWorking within a multi-disciplinary engineering and support environment, the position applies RF, digital, and analogue diagnostic expertise using test instrumentation and automated test equipment. The role also contributes to continuous improvement through accurate data capture, failure trend analysis, and collaboration with engineering, logistics, and field service stakeholders, while maintaining strict quality, safety, and security standards.\nWhat the role will involve\nThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:\nPerform efficient and effective diagnostics of RF, digital, and analogue circuits using test instrumentation and equipment\nLead and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality requirements\nDiagnose faults within digital and analogue assemblies in customer support and production environments\nAccurately document diagnostic findings, corrective actions, and solutions using data collection and workflow management tools\nAssist engineering functions by supporting investigations, analysis, and product improvement activities as required\nAnalyse failure trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives\nProvide clear technical feedback and recommendations to management, engineers, and peers on diagnostics, processes, and tools\nProvide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to maintenance personnel to strengthen team capability and performance\nMaintain required quality standards through adherence to best practices and procedures\nEnsure full compliance with workplace Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures\nProvide direct customer and end-user technical support, including on-site diagnostics when required\nParticipate in weekly reporting activities and provide maintenance status updates to the management team\nSupport workforce planning, task allocation, and resource prioritisation to meet maintenance objectives\nManage inventory control activities and maintain accurate maintenance and asset records\nWhat you’ll bring\nThe role requires the following experience and skills:\nMinimum Certificate III in applicable Technical Trade\nAustralian citizen\nSecurity clearance level minimum NV1\nAbout L3Harris Australia\nL3Harris has provided advanced technology solutions to government and commercial customers across Australia for more than 25 years.
