Responsibilities include the translation of requirements into working and maintainable solutions for our Integrated Systems & Encription team. The selected candidate will apply technical proficiency across various stages of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), gather requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and scope tasks. The selected candidate will be working as a key team member on a Scrum team and will be instrumental in setting our direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.\nTasks include:\nApply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target hardware.\nWork closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.\nSupport and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test.\nDevelop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.\nUtilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.\nParticipate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.\nUtilize a variety of software languages (primarily Java/C/C++ and Python), in Windows, Linux (RHEL 7/8), mobile platforms, and embedded real time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, Integrity, and others for Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs). \nParticipate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.\nDevelop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.\nSupport and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test.\nInvestigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team.\nDeveloping Software utilizing Modern Cloud Application Development tools and standards.\nUtilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.\nUsage of Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service technologies, such as VMWare, OpenShift, or similarExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of prior applicable experience; or, a Masters Degree with 2 years of related experience.\nAt least 2 years of experience developing software in Java, C, and/or C++ and debugging application and cloud-based applications.\nAt least 1 year of exposure to debugging embedded applications on simulated and target hardware.\nAt least 1 years of Hardware / Software Integration experience.\nAt least 1 year of experience with Rational Team Concert (RTC), or Jira.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience with Agile Scrum Practices.\nActive Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nExperience developing device drivers and software for integrated communication systems.\nObject-oriented design and implementation experience, with exposure to software modeling and UML.\nKnowledge of network architectures and protocols.\nExperience with commercial telephony software packages, such as Asterisk.\nExperience with implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) security control across application software.\nExperience with static analysis, code coverage tools, and automated test frameworks.\nExperience with communication systems (VOIP/DSL).\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $97,172.00 - $160,874.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
