This position will perform a variety of operations including the assembly and integration of complex electromechanical space flight components. This role involves working directly with engineers on the design and development of new and existing products, to optimize design for manufacturability. Needs to be proficient in cable and harness builds, as well as soldering of components.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment\nRead engineering drawings/blue prints/schematics and detailed work instructions\nMaintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation\nSpeak clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups\nIdentify problems and suggest solutions\nDemonstrate appropriate computer knowledge\nUnderstand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices\nPerform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment\nMust be mechanically inclined with ability to work with very fragile electronic assemblies under a microscope\nWillingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays and some travel\nAbility to obtain US Government security clearance\nQualifications:\nRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience\nMust be able to be certified to all IPC, JSTD, or comparable NASA certifications\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nAssociates Degree or above in electronics/electrical field\nExperience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline\nCurrently certified to IPC, JSTD, or comparable NASA certifications\nLean Manufacturing practices\nAerospace or Defense industry experience\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $45,000-$84,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
