This position will perform a variety of operations related to the assembly and integration of complex electromechanical spaceflight components. The role involves working directly with engineers on the design and development of new and existing products to optimize designs for manufacturability.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform optical alignment work in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment\nRead engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions\nMaintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation\nAbility to work with fragile and precise assemblies\nMust be proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)\nWillingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays, and some travel\nAbility to obtain US Government security clearance\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-secondary/Associate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience in an electrical, mechanical, or optical fabrication discipline\nAerospace or defense industry experience\nExperience with measurement and analysis\nProficient in cable and harness fabrication, as well as component soldering\nExperience with one or more of the following: optical interferometry, MTF testing, lens bench testing, resolution testing\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nWillingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, and some travel\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $26.20/hr - $48.79/hr.
