This position requires a highly skilled maintenance professional with strong HVAC, electrical, and mechanical expertise who can work independently, lead technical troubleshooting activities, develop maintenance procedures and SOPs, coordinate contractors, and provide emergency response support as required.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nTechnical Building Systems Support\nPerform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of facility and building systems.\nProvide technical expertise for HVAC equipment, building automation systems (BAS), electrical distribution systems, controls, mechanical equipment, and utility infrastructure.\nSupport the operation and maintenance of:\nHVAC systems and controls\nElectrical distribution systems\nPneumatic and hydraulic systems\nPumps, motors, and rotating equipment\nManufacturing and production support equipment\nDiagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical blueprints.\nMaintenance & Reliability\nDevelop, coordinate, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility and production support equipment.\nMaintain inspection records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.\nUtilize SharePoint systems to track work orders, asset history, maintenance schedules, and key performance metrics.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance processes.\nMaintain inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and critical spare components.\nContractor & Vendor Management\nCoordinate and oversee contractor and vendor activities on site.\nObtain quotations, review scopes of work, and provide recommendations for maintenance and facility projects.\nEnsure contractors comply with company safety policies, work permits, and regulatory requirements.\nVerify completion and quality of contracted work and ensure proper documentation is maintained.\nPeriodically work with landlord on building issues.\nFacilities Operations & Projects\nSupport facility, modifications, equipment installations, and office moves.\nAssist with planning and execution of capital facility projects.\nCoordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to business operations.\nSupport initiatives related to facility performance and operational excellence.\nCompliance & Safety\nEnsure compliance with all applicable building codes, environmental regulations, health and safety requirements, and corporate standards.\nParticipate in audits and inspections and maintain documentation required to support compliance activities.\nPromote a strong safety culture through proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation.\nRequired Capabilities\nMinimum 7-10 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, manufacturing maintenance, or a similar industrial environment.\nDemonstrated experience supporting complex HVAC and electrical systems.\nExperience in managing contractors and service providers.\nExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nWork in a clean room environment would an asset.\nDesired Education and Experiences\nMinimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or degree Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Building Systems Technology, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline. or Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.\nLicensed trade certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Millwright, or related discipline is considered a strong asset \n*This posting is for a current vacancy.
