Our site near Culpeper, VA-located in beautiful, rural Orange County, approximately 1.5 hours from Washington, DC-is growing rapidly. This location serves as our center of excellence for solid rocket motor propulsion, energetics development, and high-complexity production programs.\nThe Facilities Technician C (Controls) is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation, control systems, and production equipment that support facility and manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure reliable performance of HVAC, lighting, energy management, production machinery, and other facility systems to maintain safe, efficient, and productive building and manufacturing environments.\nEssential Functions:\nInstall, program, calibrate, and maintain building automation systems (BAS), related controls, and production equipment control systems.\nTroubleshoot and repair control systems for HVAC, lighting, alarms, production machinery, and other facility and manufacturing equipment.\nMonitor system and production equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, throughput, and equipment reliability.\nPerform preventive maintenance on sensors, actuators, controllers, valves, production equipment components, custom automation, robotics and associated devices.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment manuals, and technical documentation for both facility and production systems.\nSupport commissioning and startup of new or upgraded facility control systems and production equipment installations.\nRespond to service calls, equipment faults, and system alarms in a timely manner to minimize downtime.\nCoordinate with facilities maintenance, engineering, production teams, contractors, and vendors on repairs, upgrades, and equipment modifications.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, production equipment service history, system changes, and test results.\nEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety procedures, building codes, equipment manufacturer guidelines, and company standards.\nAbility to obtain a US Security Clearance.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/associate degree education and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience with manufacturing automation and control systems\nExperience with Allen-Bradley control systems\nExperience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or similar.\nExperience with production equipment controls including PLCs, HMIs, or SCADA systems.\nEPA, HVAC, electrical, controls-related, or industrial maintenance certifications.\nKnowledge of networking concepts related to BAS and production system communications such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, EtherNet/IP and OPC UA.\nExperience supporting regulated, manufacturing, or large commercial facility environments.\nExperience with Fanuc robots is a plus.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, control diagrams, and production equipment schematics.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in both facility and production settings.\nGood communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team across facilities and production departments.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virgina (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $23.80/hr - $43.99/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
