The candidate will become adept at functional analysis, requirements allocation and traceability, trade-off analyses, integration, verification, and test. Key criteria for this role will include collaboration, communication, data management, and organization skills.\nWhat you will do:\nBecome familiar with integrating one or more subsystems used for naval communications\nCreate conceptual designs that are innovative, scalable and adaptive\nDevelop systems requirements and systems architectures\nDevelop technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors and provide technical evaluation of supplier and subcontractor deliverables\nAnalyze designs and evaluate system performance\nPrepare and present design recommendations and engineering change requests\nWork hands-on with equipment and software in a laboratory or development environment to develop and document subsystem equipment configurations\nEnsure system designs meet customer requirements and industry standards\nSupport the verification and validation of designs and equipment\nCollaborate with other engineering disciplines and technical staff\nDevelop and maintain design documentation\nPrepare inputs for customer deliverables\nPlan and report on status of work\nContribute to improvements to tools and processes related to systems engineering\nRequired skills and experiences:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\nPreferred additional skills, education and certifications:\nExperience working on complex engineering projects\nPrevious experience working in the defence or marine sectors\nKnowledge or experience with military communication systems, voice and data networking, or cyber-security\nWorking knowledge of requirements management through IBM DOORS\nProficient with MS Office\nFamiliarity with software tools such as Zuken (Electrical CAD), Visio, Creo, SharePoint and Jira\nEligibility Criteria (Mandatory):\nMust be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program\nMust be eligible for a government of Canada Reliability Status and NATO SECRET (Level 2) security clearance\nMust meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)\nL3Harris Technologies is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs.
