The hardware produced at this location is complex, containing circuit card assemblies (CCAs), microelectronics assemblies, cable harnesses, and higher-level system assemblies. The person filling this position will focus on manufacturing engineer support and development for manufacturing various space complex hardware and RF applications. In-depth familiarity with all aspects of circuit card assembly design and fabrication will be highly beneficial in this position.\nEssential Functions:\nManage daily logistics and workflow, interfacing with design, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure maximized manufacturing and test throughput developing build strategies\nProvide manufacturing technicians with guidance, coaching and training \nCommunicate effectively with internal and external customers\nDesign and develop manufacturing tools, strategies, and systems with a focus on mistake proofing\nCreate manufacturing fixture using in-house Additive Manufacturing processes and resources\nGenerating and updating Assembly Method Sheets (AMS) and directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks\nProvide and implement continuous improvement ideas to drive out waste while increasing safety and quality\nInterfacing with complex hardware including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), microelectronic assemblies, cable harnesses, and higher-level system assemblies \nMonitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nLead lean/process improvement initiatives of technical and operational nature\nSupport and lead root cause and corrective action processes\nWork alongside Quality, Test, and Reliability Engineering functions to achieve common program and operational goals\nReview/approve drawing and parts lists revision updates and incorporate such changes \nPrioritize and execute in an environment of many concurrent tasks/responsibilities\nActively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations.\nRead and understand Assembly Drawings.\nEstimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.\nMonitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.\nProvide advanced technical support to solve problems through process improvements related to manufacturing products.\nInterface with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility, developing build strategies.\nDesign and develop manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.\nQualifications:\nRequires comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.\nHold an Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI)\nExperience working on circuit card assemblies (CCAs)\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, and or Manufacturing engineering \nExperience with soldering and working with delicate electronic components.\nWorking knowledge of IPC/J-STD, Space Addendum workmanship requirements.\nExperience in Lean principles;
