The Project Engineer integrates engineering scope, technical performance, cost, schedule, risk, and customer commitments within the program baseline established by the Program Manager and customer.\nEssential Functions:\nServes as the engineering focal point among program management, control account managers, engineering functional leads, integrated product teams, operations, quality, supply chain, and line management\nMaintains the integrated engineering execution plan, including technical scope, staffing, schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and recovery actions; provides clear status to program leadership and customers\nDrives timely technical issue resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and risk mitigation to protect product performance, quality, schedule, and customer commitments\nEstablishes actionable execution metrics and intervention plans; partners with Program Management and Finance to manage engineering earned value, forecasts, estimate-to-complete, and cost and schedule variance\nCoordinates resources and required approvals across engineering disciplines; ensures configuration-controlled technical decisions, interfaces, and changes are evaluated and executed\nLeads preparation for and execution of engineering and program reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, qualification, acceptance, and flight readiness activities, as applicable\nCoordinates integration, verification, and production-readiness activities; communicates effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders\nComprehensive knowledge of project engineering, systems engineering, and integrated product development for complex hardware and software programs\nDemonstrated ability to translate program objectives into executable engineering plans and align cross-functional teams to the technical baseline\nExperience managing technical execution through development, integration, verification, production, delivery, and sustainment phases\nWorking expertise in Earned Value Management, engineering cost and schedule estimation, forecasting, and variance analysis\nExperience coordinating across multiple engineering functions, manufacturing/operations, quality, supply chain, and program controls\nExperience communicating directly with government and industry customers and presenting technical status, risks, and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences\nAvailability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer and supplier sites in support of technical meetings, reviews, integration, and verification activities\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nGraduate degree in an engineering or technical discipline\nActive DoD security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one\nExperience with DoD missile, weapon-system, or similarly complex defense programs;
