The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in most aspects of the systems engineering process, will have direct experience designing and testing complex systems, and will be comfortable coordinating and leading teams of technical personnel. Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary. Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.\nThe Range and Test Solutions business area is responsible for sustaining and upgrading flight test instrumentation including Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar.\nEssential Functions:\nSupport digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nGeneration of requirements specifications\nGeneration of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, etc.\nIntegration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.\nInterfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical, project, etc.) to ensure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project.\nGenerate and/or update drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, and schematics.\nGeneration of Engineering Change Orders\nCreation and presentation of design review materials\nVerification of system interfaces\nMust have the ability to travel.\nWork to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. \nActive US Secret security clearance.\n\n5+ years of direct Engineering experience\n2+ years direct experience working with at least one of the following technologies: Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nDemonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.\nFamiliarity with DOORS requirements management software.\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).\nProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is Min $127,500.00 - $236,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
