From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro1-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.\nAbout the Role\nThis 16 month co-op role supports the manager of Infrastructure & Security for Canada by providing provide direct embedded support services within our Engineering department services at the WESCAM division. The successful candidate will be a talented and motivated Linux Administrator with exceptional customer service skills, is adept at managing and coordinating diverse support demands, and drives towards efficiency and continuous improvement for their customers.\nResponsibilities:\nEndpoint Management: Maintain and support Linux endpoints, ensuring optimal performance and security.\nAutomation with Ansible: Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation tasks.\nContainerization with Docker: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers to support various applications and services.\n Atlassian Support: Provide support and administration for Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), ensuring smooth operation and user satisfaction.\nUpgrade Projects: Plan, execute, and manage small upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption and efficient implementation.\nCustomer Support: Provide excellent customer support, addressing technical issues, and resolving user inquiries promptly and effectively.\nCommunication: Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing clear and concise updates and documentation.\nRequirements:\nProficiency in Linux endpoint management.\nStrong experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.\nSolid knowledge of Docker for containerization.\nExperience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).\nProven ability to manage small upgrade projects from planning to execution.\nExcellent customer support and communication skills.\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nRelevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE) are a plus.\nQualifications:\nMust be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term starting May 2026\nCurrently enrolled and in good standing with co-op program through accredited university\nAble to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)\nPursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nStrong understanding of Linux operating systems, command-line tools, and configuration automation tools (Ansible).\nFamiliarity with networking concepts and protocols.\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices is desirable.\nDiversity & Inclusion\nWe believe that diversity among our employees makes us a stronger organization.\nWe are committed to diversity and inclusion within our L3Harris WESCAM family, and our community by welcoming and encouraging applications from anyone interested without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran's status, Aboriginal status or any other legally-protected groups.
