This role serves as the bridge between engineering, program management, logistics, and field operations to ensure FSRs are technically prepared, properly resourced, and aligned with customer requirements. The Field Engineering Manager drives field execution, resolves escalated technical issues, supports workforce development, and ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.\nEssential Functions:\nLead, mentor, and manage a team of an estimated 50 FSRs supporting domestic and international customer sites.\nCoordinate field engieneering suppor for system installation, integration, test, trouble shooting, repair, and sustainment activities.\nPartner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program teams to resolve field issues and improve product performance.\nDevelop deployment plans, staffing models, and support schedules to meet customer and program requirements. \nMonitor (24/7) all emails from FSRs/sites and coordinate with necessary in-house personnel. \nMaintain accurate records of communication for reference related to FSR performance/awards, disciplinary action, and core competencies.\nConduct weekly telecon’s between various sites/FSRs to include Customers, Program Managers, and Engineering.\nTimely provided required reports to Program Managers and/or external Customers. \nReview and approve timecards, travel expense reports, and payroll.\nOversee compliance with with company policies, contractual obligatoins, export controls, safety requirements, and customer procedures.\nSupport proposal/new business efforts from start to finish. Including Statement of Work (SOW) reviews, deriving requirements, generating estimates, and participate in contract negotiations.\nSupport proposal development, cost estimates, manpower planning, and risk assessments for new and existing programs.\nBuild and maintain strong custome relationships, serving as a trusted leader.\nTravel as needed to customer, operational, test, and field locations to support deployments and critical events.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. \nActive Secret Security Clearance required.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nMinimum of 2 years of experience leading teams, projects, or field support personnel.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office\nAbility to travel, including occasional short-notice travel, as required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any required security clearance, if applicable.\nExperience in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, electronics, mission systems, or other highly regulated technical industries. \nExperience supporting CONUS and OCONUS deployments/rotations.\nKnowledge of training development, certification programs, and technical workforce planning.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this remote role in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $105,500 - $196,500. The salary range for this remote role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York State, Cleveland, Ohio, Vermont, and Virginia is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
